Policies and FAQ

When can I hold my party and how long do the parties last?
The party is hosted by a Pirate Captain and held on our ship, The Golden Skull, at Magical Times, you can hold the party whenever it is convenient for you. Parties may be scheduled on any day of the week, however we very much prefer that your date reserved at least three weeks in advance. Hosted parties are usually 1 1/2 to 2 hours in length depending on package.
What ages are your parties for?
Pirate parties are for ages 4 and up
How much does it cost?
The Pirate Parties are $20.00 per guest for the original package. There is a Minimum of 6--Maximum of 14 Children including the guest of honor.
What should the children wear?
Our costumes bits are designed to be worn over the child's own clothes. We encourage children to wear any of their own costume pieces that are appropriate. However children should also dress to get wet if their parents and weather permit.
How to book a Party?
Parties are booked on a first come, first serve basis. When a party date is requested, a deposit of $50 will be necessary to secure your reservation. This deposit is non-refundable and we must have the deposit to book the party, usually 3 weeks in advance. The balance is due 1 week before the day of your party or before party begins.
What happens if I need to cancel the party?
In the event you have to cancel, we will work with you to reschedule another date. If you do not reschedule another date and choose to cancel the party your deposit is forfeited.
What forms of payment do we accept?
We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover, American Express, checks, money orders, cash and PayPal.
Do You Have A Minimum/ Maximum Attendance?
Parties may be scheduled for up to 14 children. You will need to contact us 1 week before the party for any guest count changes or you will be charged for all guests, as we prepare our parties based on the total headcount given to us by you prior to the party. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate unexpected guests for the reasons listed above. Maximum attendance for most parties is 14 children including the guest of honor. We would prefer a named roll call for the party so we can generate "Pirate Names" for the guests
Are Invitations and Thank You Notes Included?
Invitations and Thank You Notes are not included in the original package but are available and may be purchased as an extra.
What else will there be?
If parents permit, we may provide temporary tattoos. These tattoos use water to apply and wash off in a few days.
Are parents allowed to stay during party?
Parents and other adults are always welcome to stay and enjoy the party. We want to make the birthday child and their guests the center of attention, we kindly request your assistance in keeping the noise level reasonable so the children are not distracted, and are able to hear the Captain to follow directions.
What happens if a guest arrives late?
Because our parties are based on a schedule, they work best when all guests arrive on time. Those guests coming late may join the party at whatever point it has progressed to.
